History​

"I want to make an incense holder that will last a lifetime."

As part of the interior, incense holders greatly influence the impression of a room along with their fragrance.

However, I was unable to find a satisfactory incense holder that combined an urban, sophisticated design with detailed functionality.

This project began with the desire to create an incense holder that combines design and functionality, and that people will want to use for the rest of their lives.

The chaotic shapes and subtleties of nature that I wanted to express were simply impossible to reproduce with a machine.
Dozens of times, factories and craftsmen refused to reproduce the design.

Just when I was about to give up.

We found a craftsman who could realize our vision.
Machiko Etchu has been working as a glass craftsman for over 40 years.

We went to the craftsman many times ,

We worked hard to create an incense holder that would last a lifetime.

So that you won't get bored,
Can you express the chaos of nature?

It matches any interior,
How can we create a design that will be loved for a long time?

How can we ensure stress-free use?

The workshop is surrounded by a glass furnace that reaches a temperature of approximately 1,300 degrees, with the temperature exceeding 40 degrees.
In order to fulfill our wishes, we asked Machiko Etchu to make test productions over and over again.

After much trial and error,
It's been over a year since the project began,
A " lifetime incense holder " has been completed.
